Join us in person again for the annual 2.007 Robot Competition. This year the theme of the competition is “Machina Forever!” in celebration of the filming of Black Panther “Wakanda Forever!” on the MIT Campus. The game board features a large DNA molecule in the middle onto which robots can place bases to construct the molecule, vibranium ore that robots can collect and hide, centrifuges that robots can spin, and various multipliers including a Tim the beaver mask and a Simmons bracelet! The game board itself is modeled off Shuri’s lab in Wakanda, and at the very bottom of the board is the Harvard Bridge also featured in the movie.
The competition will run Monday 05/15/23 from 5:00pm to 10pm and Tuesday 05/16/23 from 6:30pm to 10pm at the Johnson Ice Rink. Each student will showcase their robot in a single match on Monday, and Tuesday will feature a single-elimination bracket of the top 32 competitors.
